A TASTE OF LA: with Casting Director CHADWICK STRUCK

We are proud to welcome LA Casting Director, Chadwick Struck for a 1 day workshop Monday, September 18 from 5:00pm- 7pm.  (This workshop is for actors age 14 and up)

This workshop provides a relaxed and constructive environment to work on honing your commercial, TV and Film auditioning techniques.

Students will be provided scenes to work on during the workshop, and Chadwick will give immediate industry feedback.

Chadwick Struck has been in the entertainment business since 1997.  He has worked in all formats: Feature Film, Television, Theater, Short Film, Digital, and Commercials / PSA.  The beginning of his career was very academic, almost like a post educational experience working on three well known Science Fiction TV series and also a year working @ the largest Theater on the West Coast  (Center Theatre Group of Los Angeles: Mark Taper Forum & Ahmanson Theater). After working seven years primarily in Television & Theater he then began to cast for Feature Films.

In 2007 he started his own company.  He has cast studio and independent projects. Chad has also produced twelve films. He has a couple new films he is Casting & Producing; and several others in development. He has also cast internationally recognized short films; a few in which have been on the short list for Academy Award consideration.

In this time he has been developing great relationships with the acting community, talent agents, talent managers, & Producers. OUTLAWS & ANGELS (a film he Co-Produced & Cast)  Premiered as a SUNDANCE Selection @ the 2016 Festival.  This film was mentioned as #17 on 21 Best Films Of SUNDANCE 2016 http://variety.com/2016/film/festivals/best-films-of-sundance-2016-1201693354/.

Mr. Struck is excited for the future as he will continue to thrive in casting, film making, & creating content for all forms.  He is always looking to meet new actors and loves to be available to the actors that he meets.

Dear Evan Hansen-Tony Award Winning Musical

with Zachary L. Gray

Evan Hansen, is a high school senior with a social anxiety disorder who finds himself amid the turmoil that follows a classmate’s death. The musical has received critical acclaim, the lyrics, and the book, have served as a touchstone for discussion about mature storytelling and themes explored in musical theatre.
Zachary and students will discuss the social context through scene and song.

Special talkback guest, Colton Ryan (understudy to Ben Platt in the lead role of Evan Hansen) will join Zachary Gray during the workshop via FaceTime for a once in a lifetime talkback with all who attend. Bring your Dear Evan Hansen questions!

Born and raised Kentucky-fried, this 21-year old is a recent “graduate” of the Baldwin Wallace Music Theater Program. He is finishing his degree with an internship at the Music Box Theater as an Evan/Jared/Connor Standby in Dear Evan Hansen. This is his Broadway debut.

This workshop is appropriate for students age 12 and up.
