***These classes are designed for students who are interested in preforming in  musical theater both PROFESSIONALLY and on an AMATEUR level. Each week students are taught different combinations in DIFFERENT styles of musical theater genres  to build muscle memory for future dance auditions.

TAP

Tap is great for rhythm and gaining the ability to pick up combinations. Musicals almost always require strong tap ability! Follow this up with the musical theatre dance class for a well-rounded dance experience.

Beginner Tap

Grades 3 & Up
Tuesdays (Ongoing)

5:00 pm  –  5:45 pm

Instructor will evaluate students for level. 

Class will focus on the basic steps of tap to help build a strong foundation, proper technique, and to help learn combinations.

Intermediate Tap

Grades 4 & Up
Tuesdays (Ongoing)

5:45 pm  –  6:45 pm (new ending time)

Instructor will evaluate students for level. 

Class will build on the basic steps learned in Beginning Tap. Proper technique will continue to be emphasized and assist with learning combinations for auditions.

Advanced Tap

BY INSTRUCTOR RECOMMENDATION

With Laura Savage
Grades 7 & Up  plus recommendation from teacher
Tuesdays (Ongoing)

8:00 – 9:00 pm (new time)

Focus will be on more difficult choreography and combinations. Proper technique will continue to be emphasized and help prep more for auditions.

Jazz Technique

Jazz Technique

Tuesdays (Ongoing)
Grade 4 & Up – OPEN TO ALL LEVELS
6:45 – 8:00 pm 

Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.
